Signify
designed a keynote address for
a major conference at the Cooperative
Bank, called: 'Jumping in the
Deep End: Learning from Success
and Failure.' The keynote examined
the concept that 'Failure is an
event not a person' and what happens
to companies and people when they
fail. |
 |
The
keynote was such a success that
Signify have decided to repeat
it for other organisations! |
 |
The
presentation was delivered by:
Jonathan
Edwards (Triple Jump World
Record Holder and Olympic Gold
Medallist)
Phil
Wall (Director of Signify
and Mentor to Jonathan Edwards)

During
the presentation, Jonathan reflected on
the lessons he learnt from the unexpected
success and failure from Gothenburg and
Seville respectively, as well as the momentous
achievements of Sydney. Specifically,
he looked at the 'How, Why and Where'
of success in his life and sport. |
 |
Phil,
who accompanied Jonathan to Sydney, expanded
on the application of these within a corporate
context, particularly in relation to energising
the talent and capacity of personnel. |
 |
Outcomes:
The keynote presentation
inspired delegates to enhance their own
performance and that of others. They were
encouraged to develop strategies for dealing
with failure, understand the building
blocks needed for sustained success and
how to make a coaching relationship more
effective. |
 |
What the
Client said:
‘The presentation
that Signify brought to us created a
fantastic climax for our event. It was
inspiring as well as instructional for
all the leaders present.’
