What will the topic be?
Like ROOTS, this year’s topic is Trinity. We will spend the weekend studying the trinity and learning how each aspect of God – Father, Son, Spirit – relates to us in our spiritual journey.

What will our schedule look like?
The Deeper venue will meet three times a day for worship, study, and cell groups, and then join the wider Shocking crew for a time of celebration in the evenings.

Is there an age limit?
Yes. Deeper is a venue for young people between the ages of 15-18.

What kind of commitment am I making?
By committing to be in Deeper, you are committing to participating fully in each of the day’s activities. Activities will include everything from worship, study, lectures, and small groups. We will meet once in the morning and twice in the afternoon. Those committing to Deeper would be expected to be involved in each of these time slots, as they will all include a time for cell groups.

What should I bring?
The Deeper venue itself does not require you to bring anything that you would not bring to the regular SHOCKING venue. We would remind you to bring your Bible and a notebook.

Why do I need to apply?
The Deeper venue will be limited to 50 young leaders from around the territory. We will be asking DYOs and Corps officers to help us in that decision-making.

What type of people are we looking for?
We’re looking for young Christians, already involved with The Salvation Army, who are already leaders in their Corps and community or who are on the verge of being leaders in their Corps and community.

What do I have to do to apply to be in Deeper?
On this page is a link to the Deeper application form. Simply download the form, print it out, fill out the form and send it to your DYO. Your DYO will then make the final recommendations and send it on to us.
