Gemma Evans, Louisa Keohane and Ira Siobhan introduce HOST, a piece based on the 'Icon of the Trinity' painting by Andrei Rublev. HOST has been created specifically for ROOTS 2005 by renowned choreographer Andile Sotiya of Dance Nomad. The piece is Andile Sotiya's own interpretation of the painting and it invites you to watch some high energy movement that will allow you to envision movement of the three-in-one.

The title comes from the choreographers view of the angel in the Rublev painting. An angel is part of the 'heavenly host.' Another meaning of host is 'the entertaining of guests' and the door of the hosts home is always open. The Trinity is an ever-welcoming host to us, God's children.
